I am not even sure what a blog is. I am assuming it is a place to have a conversation with myself-and if anyone cares to listen-then they tune in.
Sometimes I can be quite a writer, I think. I love it when words show up on a blank slate that are mine alone.

This weekend...I have cared for myself. I got my roots dyed...got a new cut...had my nails done. Was plucked and waxed like a chicken before the fryolator. And so... this weekend...I have oddly been walking in and out of places being caught singing. One guy said, "Wow...if you are singing...life must be good..." My knee jerk response was to lapse into reality where life is a cluster fuck of problems that are not only overwhelming but are out of my control.But I found myself smiling and leaving the guy thinking I had some secret to life. James Taylor sings, " The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time...since we are on our way down...we might as well enjoy the ride..." That song has always resonated with me- and the older I get-it has become almost biblical in its message. I enjoyed the ride tonight with an impromptu dinner party with my dear friend, Lorraine Lordi. We ate good food, sipped a little red...and really connected. I need her , right now, in my life -and I think she needs me. And I will swim the water wide just to be there for her...and she for me. I think we forget how fulfilling a night with a good good friend can be...
